Next...You will take your pot and measure out the amount of wax you want to fill your bottles with and let it get up to the desired temperature to melt being sure not to burn it.
A double boiler is great to use.
When your wax melts wait until it gets up to 185 degrees then add your fragrance oil and stir.
Now add the coloring to your desired darkness.
Remember when the candle cools the wax color will be lighter than what you see in the hot wax.
Note: The “Average Density” Method for Measuring Wax per Candle. Most wax averages to about 86% the density of water, or a specific gravity of 0.86. More specifically, we know that for every 3.5 ounces of water, about 3.0 ounces of blended wax (wax + fragrance oil) will take up the same space. How do you calculate wax weight from water weight? – AnswerParadise.net
Let the wax mixture cool down to about 100 degrees before pouring into your bottles. But before you pour...
Put a wick sticker in the bottom of the jar. Now put the wick onto the sticker. Then put the wick through the top of the popsicle stick for it to hold the wick in place. (You can do 1 or 2 wicks depending on the size of the candle.
When the wax is 100 degrees pour the wax into the jar. Wait for the wax to cool completely before putting the lid on the jar. Let it cool a couple of days.
